The sign says Road Closed and it really is blocked half way up/down the hill for repairs. You can just about get through on foot so take extra care if you’re coming back from Downe as you’ll need to stop.

There’s an upsurge in cycling and new Government funding for walking and cycling infrastructure, starting with emergency measures to relieve pressure on public transport as lock-down is eased. This is of great interest to Bromley Cyclists, part of the London Cycling Campaign (LCC), that campaigns to make cycling safe and inviting for cyclists,…[Read more]

See you there

Thanks for flagging this up, Mark. We were there only yesterday. The council seems to want to close them because the toilets are being used. I’ve suggested that the parents of the adjacent primary school would not appreciate the alternative, should the toilets close.

I don’t know if anyone else is aware, but there is an ongoing consultation regarding the continued availability of the toilets at Ide Hill. It seems that Sundridge & Ide Hill Parish Council is considering closing them permanently from the end of September. As a regular stop off point on many rides I’m sure this is a facility that would be sorely…[Read more]

You will not be covered by club insurance and therefore the club does not accept any liability or responsibility. As a fellow club member, I would ask that you…[Read more]
