Have you ever fancied cycling at the Olympic Velodrome track in Lee Valley?

We have booked a two hour session at the Lee Valley Velodrome on Wednesday 19th March, 8pm – 10pm, exclusively for Bigfoot members.

You don’t need any previous experience of track cycling, and it will be a fantastic opportunity to experience riding at the Olympic Velodrome!

We will split into two groups according to ability/experience. Each group will have its’ own coach and they will work with each group to give them the best experience possible adding exercises that work for the groups abilities. The sessions are split in 15-20 minute blocks, allowing one group to rest and receive feedback/instructions for next task whilst the other group rides.

Can I use my own pedals or make any adjustments on a hire bike?

Riders must use the pedals supplied on hire bikes, with either shoes equipped with Look Keo cleats, or adaptor plates that we have available to use. Pedals cannot be changed. The only adjustment that can be made to a hire bike is the saddle height. No tools should be used.

Can riders use their own bikes?

Yes. Please refer this document to make sure your bike is of the correct specification. Coaches reserve the right to refuse to allow bikes on the track if they are deemed unsafe and riders will be required to hire a bike, or not take part.

Age restrictions

The minimum age for riders on the hire bikes is 12. If a rider has track experience and their own track bike, riders of a minimum age of 10 can be accommodated.
